Lori Horner began teaching preschoolers 29 years ago.  Upon completion of her Masters of Education in 2001, Lori has invested in students and their families in varied settings.  In 2006, she began home educating her two daughters, one now graduated and one in high school. Lori continues to equip parents to help their children reach their full potential.  Recently, Lori has discovered the joy of using cognitive development exercises to partner with parents and students through educational therapy. Lori is excited to watch students grow their brains to overcome the hurdles of learning difficulties as they implement strategies for life-long development.

Lori provides educational services from her home office in Charles Town, WV where she resides with her husband, daughters, and her therapy-dog-in-training.

Julie Hughes has been educating students for over 20 years as a classroom teacher, missionary, homeschool mom, and educational therapist.  She has seen many students struggle, becoming frustrated, withdrawn, or angry. Believing that there had to be a way to help these students move forward, Julie sought research-based cognitive therapies that would help develop the underlying cognitive functions needed for successful learning.  She delights in seeing student’s lives transformed as they develop confidence and competence.

Julie works in her Leesburg office and via Skype.

Robin Luckenbaugh has over 30 years of teaching experience as a preschool, elementary and homeschool teacher, a NILD-certified educational and reading therapist. She brings an exceptional understanding of students and learning strategies combined with a loving, personal engagement with the students she serves. Since becoming a certified NILD educational therapist over ten years ago, Robin is passionate about seeing her students grow in their cognitive skills along with becoming more competent and enthusiastic learners.

 Robin serves her students at her in-home office located in the Aldie/South Riding area and via Skype.

Kathryn Pugh has taught secondary English and writing for over 21 years in a variety of educational settings and has helped struggling learners in a private practice setting for 15 years. A lifelong learner, Kathryn has completed training with NILD (The National Institute for Learning Development), Equipping Minds Cognitive Therapy, and Rx for Math. She credits educational therapy with transforming students into confident independent learners with strategies and skills. Kathryn Pugh finds joy in helping students find hope and a future.
